Studies based on NAVIGATE scenarios
Demand-side strategies
Scenarios related to this study are named 'NAV_DEM*' in the Data Explorer.
This study led by Rik van Heerden utilized global Integrated Assessment Models to evaluate CO2 reduction potentials in buildings and transport. Focus is given to three intervention strategies—reducing or changing activity, improving technological efficiency, and electrifying energy end use—that are expected to reduce emissions by 51–85% in buildings and 37–91% in transport by 2050.
This study was developed as part of Task 3.5 of the NAVIGATE project.
Demand-side strategies enable rapid and deep cuts in buildings and transport emissions to 2050
